On the Alicorn we simm, but what is simming? In its most basic form simming is writing the equivalent of an on-line novel. But the Twist is you write it with other people (the crew of the ship) to make the story come alive. The Captain of the ship is much like an editor, giving the writers the basic story and ensuring everyone enjoys themselves and has fun. When you first simm you will be given a post found on a Starfleet vessel; For instance if you end up as a Doctor you’ll write the story of a healer on the fringes of space, and interact with the rest of the crew along the way.

And that in a nutshell is what simming is, writing a novel with other people about the lives of Starfleet personnel. Easy to learn, difficult to master, but fun all the way.
