Personality & Traits
General Overview
Dylan is a tall and rugged human male with bright eyes and gentle smile. He fulfills the image of a Star fleet Officer, keeping his hair short, face cleanly shaven, aside from an occasional neat moustache, and is always tidy in appearance. Possesses somewhat of a proper manner.', 'Dylan is a disciplinarian, structured and somewhat demanding of his crew; however, he always has an open door policy and even a humourous side. He keeps most of his friends on their toes with his quick wit. Though strict, he is not overbearing; quite the opposite, in fact; he is kind, generous, understanding and forgives when it is required by the situation. He carries a twinkle in his eye that he uses to his advantage upon occasion. Somewhat shy until familiar with a person, his shyness dissipates once he feels he has gained said person’s trust.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Dylan Talyessin is mentally and physically strong, maintaining a quick and calculating mind and strong body through many venues. Dylan enjoys pushing himself to the limit, both mentally and physically. He is somewhat prone to boredom when not challenged. He has strong interpersonal skills and acts comfortably in many situations. He scored quite high on the Burns-Krause endurance test, which requires great mental and physical discipline He reads voraciously; works out when time allows, and refuses to quit a task even when others would have long ago stopped in their attempts. Dylan does not cut corners. His weaknesses are that he feels he is too much a disciplinarian and too strict with his crew, but he has gained their respect through those very means. At times, he is far too philosophical for his own well being. He has a weakness for Scotch, women and Dutch chocolate.
Ambitions
To maintain a top rated crew and to assist his CO in any manner required. He would someday care to command his own ship, but for the time being, is content to be the best XO he can be.
Hobbies & Interests
Flying, outdoor team sports; rugby; shinty; historical non-fiction; enjoys an occasional dram of Scotch and has an affinity for Dutch chocolate.
